Why Follow?
Following other users lets you:
- See their book posts (Lines) in your feed
- Discover what they're reading
- Get inspired by their recommendations
- Build a community around books
How to Follow
From a Profile
- Tap on a user's avatar or name
- Their profile overlay opens
- Tap the Follow button
- You're now following them
From the Feed
When you see a post you like:
- Tap the user's name
- View their profile
- Follow if interested
From Search
- Search for a person's name
- Tap their profile in results
- Follow from their profile
Managing Who You Follow
View Following List
- Open your profile (tap your avatar)
- Tap Following count
- See everyone you follow
Unfollow Someone
Two ways to unfollow:
From Following List:
- Go to your Following list
- Swipe left on the person
- Tap Unfollow
From Their Profile:
- Open their profile
- Tap the Following button
- Confirm unfollow
Your Followers
View Followers
- Open your profile
- Tap Followers count
- See who follows you
Managing Followers
From your Followers list, you can:
- View follower profiles
- Follow them back
- Block if needed (swipe left)
Blocking a Follower
If someone is bothering you:
- Go to Followers list
- Swipe left on their name
- Tap Block
- They can no longer:
- See your content
- Follow you
- Contact you

How to Follow a Store
- Find a store (search or browse)
- Open store profile
- Tap Follow
Setting a Home Store
Your Home Store is special:
- Appears first in search results
- You see their inventory first
- Support them with purchases
Set your Home Store in Settings.
Feed Filters
Control what you see in your feed:

| All | Everyone you follow + home store + clubs |
| Following | Only people you follow |
| Local | Your home store and nearby stores |
Access filters at the top of the Share tab.
Privacy
Who Can Follow You
By default, anyone can follow you. Your posts are:
- Visible to followers
- Visible in public feeds
- Visible on your profile
Controlling Visibility
Some content can be private:
- Private wishlists (Premium feature)
- Scribbles (always private)
Notifications
Following Notifications
You receive notifications when:
- Someone follows you
- Someone you follow posts
- Your home store posts
Managing Notifications
Customize in Settings:
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Toggle notification types
- Set quiet hours if needed

BookWish suggests people based on:
- Books you've wishlisted
- Stores you follow
- Clubs you've joined
Through Clubs
Book club members are great follows:
- Join a club
- See member discussions
- Follow interesting readers
Through Challenges
Reading challenge participants share your interests:
- Join a challenge
- View participant profiles
- Follow fellow readers
