Set up and customize your BookWish-powered store website.

Store Website Overview

Your store website is hosted at bookwish.shop/{your-slug} and provides:

• Online inventory browsing
• E-commerce checkout
• Store information and hours
• Book clubs and challenges promotion

Basic Configuration

Store Profile

Configure your store's basic information:

Store Name	Your bookstore's name
Slug	URL-friendly identifier (e.g., village-books)
Description	Brief description of your store
Phone	Contact phone number
Email	Contact email address

Location Settings

Set your physical location:

• Street address
• City, State, ZIP
• Country
• Latitude/Longitude (auto-generated from address)

Business Hours

Configure your operating hours:

Branding

Logo

• Upload your store logo
• Recommended: Square image, 200x200px minimum
• Formats: PNG, JPG, SVG

Banner Image

• Hero image for your store website
• Recommended: 1200x400px (3:1 ratio)
• Use a photo of your store or bookish imagery

Primary Color

Choose an accent color for your website:

• Used for buttons, links, and highlights
• Default: #1a1a1a (Ink Blue)
• Select from preset palette or enter hex code

Website Features

Enabling Your Website

1. Go to Shop > Settings > Website
2. Toggle "Enable public store website"
3. Your site is live at bookwish.shop/{slug}

Preview Mode

Preview your website before publishing:

1. Click "Preview Website"
2. Review all pages
3. Make adjustments as needed

Website Sections

Your store website includes:

• Home - Featured books, store info
• Books - Browsable inventory
• About - Store description, location, hours
• Cart/Checkout - Stripe-powered checkout

Custom Domain

Setting Up a Custom Domain

Use your own domain (e.g., www.mybookstore.com):

1. Go to Shop > Settings > Custom Domain
2. Enter your domain name
3. Add DNS records:

   Type: CNAME
   Name: www (or @)
   Value: {your-slug}.bookwish.store

4. Wait for verification (up to 48 hours)

Domain Status

Status	Description
NONE	No custom domain configured
PENDING	DNS verification in progress
VERIFIED	DNS verified, SSL being provisioned
ACTIVE	Custom domain fully active

Configure for search engines:

• Page title format
• Meta description
• Open Graph image
