Free Plan: Limited to 3 wishlists Premium: Create as many wishlists as you need

How to Subscribe​

From the App​

  1. Navigate to Upgrade Page:

    • Tap your avatar → "Edit Profile & Settings"
    • Tap the subscription card
    • Or hit a Premium feature limit (creates upgrade prompt)

  2. Choose Your Plan:

    • Review the three plan options
    • Tap to select your preferred plan
    • Selected plan is highlighted

  3. Complete Purchase:

    • Tap "Start Premium"
    • Authenticate with your device (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode)
    • Confirm the purchase
    • Premium activates immediately

  4. Confirmation:

    • You'll see a "Welcome to Premium!" message
    • Premium badge appears on your profile
    • All features unlock instantly

Platform-Specific Details​

iOS (iPhone/iPad)​

  • Charged through Apple's App Store
  • Uses Apple's In-App Purchase system
  • Managed through your Apple ID
  • Cancel through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

Android​

  • Charged through Google Play Store
  • Uses Google's billing system
  • Managed through your Google account
  • Cancel through Play Store → Subscriptions

Web​

  • Charged through Stripe
  • Uses secure credit card processing
  • Managed through BookWish account
  • Cancel through BookWish settings

Managing Your Subscription​

Viewing Subscription Details​

  1. Go to Settings → Account tab
  2. View your subscription card showing:
    • Plan name (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime)
    • Status (Active or Cancelled)
    • Renewal date (if active)
    • Expiration date (if cancelled)

Changing Plans​

Upgrading (Monthly to Yearly or Lifetime)​

  1. Open subscription management
  2. Select new plan
  3. Pay the difference (prorated)
  4. New plan activates immediately

Downgrading​

Not supported mid-cycle. Your current plan runs until expiration, then you can choose a different plan.

Cancelling Your Subscription​

On iOS/Android​

  1. Open device settings
  2. Navigate to subscriptions
  3. Select BookWish Premium
  4. Tap "Cancel Subscription"
  5. Confirm cancellation

Your Premium features remain active until the end of your billing period.

On Web​

  1. Go to BookWish Settings
  2. Tap subscription card
  3. Select "Manage Subscription"
  4. Click "Cancel"
  5. Confirm cancellation

Restoring Purchases​

If you subscribed on a different device or after reinstalling:

  1. Open the upgrade page
  2. Tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom
  3. Authenticate with your device
  4. Your subscription status updates automatically

After Cancellation​

When you cancel:

  • Premium features remain active until period end
  • Your subscription status shows "Expires on [date]"
  • You can still use Premium features until expiration
  • After expiration, you revert to Free plan

What Happens to Your Data?​

Wishlists​

  • If you have more than 3 wishlists, they're all preserved
  • You can view all wishlists but can't create new ones
  • To create new ones, delete extras or resubscribe

Posts​

  • All existing Lines and Reviews remain visible
  • You can view them but can't create new ones
  • Comments and likes are preserved

Clubs & Challenges​

  • Clubs you created remain active
  • Ownership transfers if you don't resubscribe
  • You can still participate as a member
Free Plan Limitations

After downgrading to Free:

  • Cannot create more than 3 wishlists (existing ones stay)
  • Cannot create new posts (existing ones visible)
  • Cannot create clubs or challenges (existing ones continue)

Subscription Details​

Billing​

  • Charged at the start of each period
  • Auto-renews unless cancelled
  • Charged to your app store account (iOS/Android) or credit card (Web)

Refunds​

  • Generally non-refundable
  • Contact support for exceptional circumstances
  • Apple and Google have their own refund policies

Free Trial​

  • BookWish occasionally offers promotional trials
  • Check the upgrade page for current offers
  • Trial details shown clearly before purchase

Family Sharing​

  • Not currently supported
  • Each user needs their own subscription

Common Questions​

Can I switch between plans?​

Yes, you can upgrade anytime. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current period.

What if I change devices?​

Your subscription follows your account, not your device. Sign in on any device to access Premium.

Do I lose data if I cancel?​

No, your data is preserved. You just can't create new content beyond free limits.

Can I pause my subscription?​

Not currently. You must cancel and resubscribe when ready.

What payment methods are accepted?​

Whatever your platform supports (App Store, Google Play, or credit card for web).

Getting Help​

If you encounter issues with your subscription:

  1. Check subscription status in Settings → Account
  2. Restore purchases if features aren't unlocking
  3. Contact support through Settings → About → Help
  4. Platform support for billing issues (Apple, Google, or Stripe)
